In Matthew 19:16-22 a rich, young man encounters Jesus with a dilemma. His speech communicates one desire, but the proof of action communicates another desire.
Scripture tells us that where our treasure is, there our heart will be also. So what happens when Jesus requests your treasure? Do you submit and sacrifice it? Or do you hold on to it tightly? Will you walk WITH Jesus in sacrifice or AWAY FROM Him in sorrow?
If He's asking for it, it's because He sees you've valued it too highly. Hand it over and see that it's worth more in His hands!
